Bowie is a 5 year old Maltese in Jackson, GA, who needs $2,000 for Testing and Surgery.

So we rescued Bowie as a puppy not long after my Chihuahua of 13 yrs passed away. He was the cutest ball of fluff you’ve ever seen. I took him to work with me everyday and he has been my little shadow. He’s been with me through the loss of my Father and just always seems to know what his mama needs.

Around thanksgiving of 2025 he got sick and we thought he had injured himself. Treatment did not work. We tried 2 rounds of prednisone and that seemed to help greatly but the last round cause a severe skin reaction. So we had to wean him off. Now we are back to square one with him in pain. Last week we did bloodwork and a new round of X-rays. Vet is thinking autoimmune. But he needs more tests.

Bowie is the most intuitive dog I’ve ever had. He just seems to know what I need. He’s the best friend I’ve ever had, and watching him go through this is breaking my heart. I want to help him the way he has helped me.

I’ve spent everything I have on him. I’m a mom to a 15 yr old and I also help support my adult child with ASD. I work full time but I live paycheck to paycheck. Surgery MAY fix the issue but I have spent what I had set aside on all these new issues and tests.
