About this campaign
I rescued my precious Bowie. He was found roaming on the streets of Tennessee with another dog. The rescue in New Jersey saved him from being euthanized. No one showed up to claim him. It’s just me and him living in my house and he has been such a joy. He loves to play and go on long walks and explore. Unfortunately now he can’t do those things because He needs a femoral head ostectomy.
Bowie is super sweet, friendly and playful. He loves his little squeaky toys! He’s so alert and loves to go on walks. He loves to give kisses. He rarely barks and always greets people at the door with a wagging tail. He loves to snuggle on a lap and sleep in his little bed. He also loves belly rubs!
Bowie is special because he’s so sweet and playful and he brings a smile to anyone who sees him! He doesn’t like certain treats and acts like he’s afraid of them and then starts to play with them like it’s a toy. He also loves his squeaky toys and is always throwing them around the house. He truly is entertaining to watch!
Bowie started limping only 4 days after I rescued him. The hospital told me he had a pre existing fracture that had somewhat healed but when I adopted him all of the extra activity made him start to limp. It is inevitable that he will need a femoral head ostectomy to live a normal life again. Please help Bowie !
This is a very expensive surgery, $6500. I live alone and have no other income. I was not anticipating Bowie to have a pre existing condition since he looked totally fine when I got him. This surgery is more than I can financially bear alone.
