About this campaign

I've had Bowser since he was born and he's been with me throughout most my adulthood. Due to dehabilitating health issues, I'm mostly sedentary, and unfortunately, my mental health is being exasperated by my physical health. Bowser is my coping mechanism and he shouldn't be punished due to my circumstance. He's emaciated, but not lethargic, his body just needs a boost from extra hydration.

Bowser became emaciated and I searched for resources due to having no income, finding Washington Health Outreach. They're a free mobile wellness clinic and did blood work. They're unsure if has acute or CKD and provided food. WHO recommended Doney Coe, free too, who provided a subcutaneous shot, but recommended he get an intravenous IV treatment to flush his kidneys more. He would be hospitalized.

Bowser is my best friend and has been my anchor to life during this tumultuous journey. I've had a hard time medically being dismissed continuously and even mocked, but he doesn't deserve the same treatment. Most doctors don't know my disease or even it's name, but I got taken a little more seriously when I was in the ICU and almost died. I was diagnosed with PTSD too, so I lean on him incredibly.

I only recently found out I was born with a rare genetic disease. I was medically tossed around for years and been denied SSA due to no explanation of my debilitating symptoms. I'm waiting on an appeal date, but now it's finding doctors who are aware of the disease for help.
