Braeden is a 4-year-old Biewer Terrier in Denver, CO, who needs $2,000 for Craniotomy.

I’ve had Braeden since I lived in Miami with my family and my little Maltipoo, Serena. We moved to Denver 1.5 years ago. Last May, we welcomed Jenna, a toy poodle with a set of wheels into our small family. The love we all have for Braeden is insurmountable. He is the sweetest, most gentle, belly-rub loving little boy around! He loves to sit on the balcony and neighborhood crime watch with Jenna.

Braeden loves to give kisses to everyone and anyone who lets him! He loves to be pressed up against us to enjoy the comfort and warmth it provides. He is a picky eater but loves treats. Brae can be stubborn and has a demanding bark when he wants to come down from the couch LOL. He lays in front of my keyboard all day on the kitchen island while I work from home. Brae is tiny but very protective!

My pups & I love living in Denver but it’s been a challenge. I just came on board full-time in May with a great company but struggled before getting this job. Just as I was getting on my feet, Braeden was diagnosed with this progressive condition requiring surgery very soon.

Dr Kelli Kopf at the VCA in Alameda East is the neurologist who performed Braeden’s MRI and diagnosed him with Caudal Occipital Malformation Syndrome (COMS) & severe syringomyelia. His skull is pressing onto the base of his brain, creating a dam-like effect with cerebrospinal fluid spewing out and accumulating in his spine. This causes Brae to wobble, collapse, & not know where his legs are.

Braeden is such a special, sweet, loving little boy. He follows me into every room I go, loves to crawl into the dog beds with his sisters, sleeps under the covers right up against me, sits in the cubby in the car & looks at EVERYTHING outside, loves to explore new things and smells on walks, very well potty-trained & never has accidents, & his little legs run in the air as I lift him up onto bed.
