About this campaign
My dog, Brandi, is 5 years old. She weighs 34 pounds and just an adorable little sweet pea. She was rescued from an organization in Danbury CT when she was 8 weeks old. I was volunteering that day and fell in love with her tiny self. She weighed only 3 pounds and malnourished. She lives with me and my son in our townhouse apt. We take her everyplace we go!
Brandi loves to go on long walks sniffing everything she can grab a scent of. She is a great listener and follows commands. She has always been a good girl. She never damaged any shoes, furniture nor rugs. She learns very fast. She communicates well with me and I understand every need or want as a result. She loves to chase squirrels and it is so much fun to watch her creep slowly upon them.
I cannot see taking my dogs life away when she is happy and playful. I am currently no longer doing social work due to a major medical condition making me homebound at times and have no means to keep up with these costs. No way feasible. My heart is broken!
Ultrasound needed & insulin now 2x's daily and needing weekly tests that cost a fortune. I have been consulted by two vets to consider my sad options if I cannot manage her diabetes. My heart is broken. I have a needle phobia and I'm exhausted. I am doing my best with the shots but the cost is impossible to keep up.
Brandi is afraid of loud firework popping sounds and she will communicate that to me immediately and I will respond by closing windows and turning the volume up if watching tv or the radio. She likes to come up to either bedroom in the mid morning and curl up under the blanket. She waits by the stairs for us to say good night before she retires. We laugh and love when she does this!
