About this campaign

I started fostering during the pandemic. Bianca (aka Bree) came from Juárez Mexico along with her pup. Bianca was scared and timid when I first got her home, probably the first time she’d been in a house. During feeding time she would take mouthfuls of kibble to hide for later. It only took a week for me to know I had my first foster failure renamed Bree who now had her forever home.

Bree joined the household that consisted of myself and a 12 year old toothless chihuahua named Brynn an adopted senior. Bree considers herself the home security unit and takes her job seriously in between naps. She is very friendly and loves meeting people more than other dogs.

When Bree first came into the home she would collect all the stray shoes and pile them all in the middle of the bed. She finally decided on my slippers and proudly took ownership of them. Four years later she still totes them around everywhere.

At a wellness appointment in May, Bree was found to have an enlarged heart and 3 kidney stones the size of quarters. This is causing her discomfort that I hate to see.

The company I worked for since 1996 transferred my job out of state and I was let go. I was able to find another full time job but at 50% less pay than I had been making. She is such a sweet girl, to have her feeling good again would mean the world.
