About this campaign
Brendan showed up about a month ago on a property where 22 colony cats are lovingly fed twice a day. At first glance, he looked so small and fragile that we thought he was a girl — and we even called him “Brenda.” But at the vet, we learned he’s a young, unneutered male who simply hasn’t developed the large tomcat features yet. What he \\\\\\\_has\\\\\\\_ developed is heartbreaking.
Brendan is suffering from a severe mange mite infestation so advanced that his skin is inflamed, painful, and compromised. His tiny body is covered in irritation, and the infestation is so significant that his veterinarian had to restart treatment completely. He is now receiving weekly ivermectin treatments to try to bring the mites under control.
As if that weren’t enough, Brendan also has a badly damaged eye that must be surgically removed.
Right now, the infection and skin condition are too severe to safely put him under anesthesia. The priority is stabilizing his skin, reducing the mite burden, and helping his body regain strength before surgery can be scheduled.
Brendan urgently needs:
\\\\- Continued weekly mite treatment - Ongoing medical monitoring - Surgical eye removal once his skin clears - Neuter surgery during the same procedure
Brendan is still young. He deserves a chance. Cat & Release of Palm Beach County stepped in because no animal should suffer like this — especially not one so young.
Every dollar brings him closer to relief. Every contribution helps end his pain. Every share helps give this forgotten feral a fighting chance.
Brendan didn’t ask to be born outside. He didn’t choose infection or injury. But today, we can choose him.
