About this campaign
Brock is alive because of the kindness of strangers and a fantastic animal rescue who saved him. Now he needs your help.
A passerby recently discovered Brock on the side of the road with wounds all over his legs. The puppy was the lone survivor of his litter; sadly, all his siblings were hit by a car and killed.
The people who found Brock scooped him up and brought him to a shelter that immediately contacted Adoption First Animal Rescue. The group raced over to pick him up. "We brought Brock back to our rescue center," Staci V., with the nonprofit organization, told Waggle. "You could clearly see that all of his legs are very sensitive to the touch. He is dragging one of his legs when he walks."
"Our rescue will make sure he gets the medical treatment he needs and then find him a wonderful family," Staci adds. "This puppy is only eight to ten weeks old, and he deserves to live an entire full life."
Post-op Brock is expected to bounce back quickly and will be ready for his forever home. Adoption First Animal Rescue relies on donations and the support of giving animal lovers to help pets that need medical care. In fact, the group saves more than 500 dogs a year, all because of the generosity of others.
Five Oaks Animal Hospital discovered Brock has an old leg injury that unfortunately can't be repaired with orthopedic surgery, so he needs to have his leg amputated. The rescue is now trying to raise the money for the operation. "Due to the nature of the injury, it is in a critical location that will require a specialist to perform the surgery," Staci says.
