About this campaign

Brody and I have been together since he was 8 weeks old and arrived in Denver on a Greyhound bus. We've been on too many hikes, bike rides, camping trips and road trips to count, and have so many stories that show both of our growth and maturity of the years, but especially highlight our love and dedication to one another.

Brody loves to sleep under the maple tree just outside my bedroom window. I think he does this because he knows how much I love to creep on him when he's sleeping. His favorite park is a massive open space that allows dogs to run off leash, though in his younger years he loved mountain bike trails and ski runs after the lifts stopped turning. It's just me and my two dogs.

He is least husky-esque husky there ever was. He only speaks when spoken to. He is terrified to jump off something more than two feet high, let alone clear a 6' fence. He's super great off leash, and was literally pulled by the other dogs when we tried his hand on a dogsled team. He would lay in the unfenced front yard all day if I wasn't worried about cars.

Brody's vet found a mass the size of a basketball in his abdomen on Dec 1, 2022. He's such a good boy at the vet that there were no signs until very recently when he jumped just a bit as she palpated his belly. A CT scan is required to determine it's operability and whether we will gain years, or only have a few more months together.

It's just me, and I barely make enough to survive in CO as it is. I want to make decisions about Brody's future based on his quality of life, not my financial concerns. He deserves the best, and I want to give him that, even if it's the best few months he could ask for.
