Brooke is a 11-year-old Boston Terrier in Port Orange, FL, who needs $1,500 for treatment related to severe congestive heart failure

Growing up my family had great love for our Bostons! Brookie spent her first year of life as a New Yorker; however, was born with Boston Blood. A coworker had a friend in NY desperately looking for a home with a big yard and lots of love. Heck with 2 spoiled ones at home how could I refuse! I still remember 10 yrs ago her whipping around our fenced in double lot like yes I get to stay here!

Brookie has always been an Alpha female! Leader of the pack at the same time no one messes with her pack! Brooke is a natural born car traveler loves to be in the passenger seat like a human just watching cars and people! She wants to make friends with any animal that comes her way as you can see by the pics of her interaction with a baby deer! She would walk for milesss if you can keep up!

Nursing student, also work full time as a CMA. With school cost/monthly bills and mandatory temp hour cuts from 40 to 30 due to Covid I am at a loss right now as she will require weekly blood work and insulin changes to regulate her. Heart stable, Kidneys and Liver pristine.

Brooke was diagnosed this past November with pretty severe congestive heart failure. She had a slight murmur which rapidly progressed it was touch and go; however, with the correct meds mainly we got thru it! This week she had her routine labs due to her diuretic and kidney monitoring the morning her results came in she was near diabetic coma in ketoacidosis with a glucose of 751 (6x's the norm).

As I already mentioned Brooke is the Alpha girl! Literally will voice her want to go to bed and will not do that without me! She will sit at my feet for an hour and have an actual conversation between light growls and noises like hey lady lets go! She loves her tummy scratched nothing stops her as ill as she may be now a day from flipping on her back and showing that upside smile (literally!)
