Brooklyn came into our lives when we needed him the most, he was our son's 7th birthday present. He was purchased from the Princess Pet shop in Las Vegas which became well known two months later as the owner burnt down the store in an attempt to commit insurance fraud. Around that same time our yellow lab Libby had to be put to sleep for oral cancer at age 12; we rescued one another for sure.

Brooklyn and his sister both left the pet shop that day. My brother has her as I couldn't bear to leave her behind. The love that they have brought to our family is unreal. I have never seen dogs smile as they do. Brooklyn truly loves everyone. He has been my son's protector for the last ten years. We would all drive to school together every morning as he loves car rides.

Brooklyn makes me laugh, he opens doors with his head unless you lock them, and if you lock them, he digs on them; Chip stands at his back waiting to make a move.

Brooklyn was recently diagnosed with Nasal Cancer by Dr. Lay of Tropicana Animal Hospital. We have been trying to find out from June but we couldn't afford the prices that we were being quoted from the other veterinarians in town. A CT and Biopsies were performed by Dr. Lay to confirm Nasal Adenocarcinoma well differentiated.

My husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer w/ liver mets on Christmas, He has had multiple surgeries and hasn't worked since 12/23/21. I am disabled as well. There is more life left in Brooklyn, I can't give up on him.
