Brownie is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Cape Girardeau, MO, who needs $1,700 for Heartworm Treatment.

I rescued Brownie from a house that had a free range pig and she actually snorts like a pig sometimes. There was also multiple other dogs running around and in kennels and fecal matter everywhere. When I went to leave she followed me and had never met me before but she wasn't going to let me leave without her. I think she knew her life was in danger there. Brownie has survived so many obstacles in her few years here. She's still fighting every day to be herself. She needs this heartworm cure so she can play again. She is currently on activity restrictions. That means go out to potty then right back inside to bed. All she can do is be bedridden basically and that's no life for anyone.... Let's help Brownie get better and show her how to play again.

Everyone loves Brownie and she loves everyone she meets. She has saved my life for sure. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for her. She's my best friend and I don't know what I would do without her. To watch her be miserable and not be able to do anything about it is the hardest thing ever. Its like watching your child when they have the flu, helpless. Trying anything to help them feel better.
