Brownie is a 9-year-old Saint Bernard in Montpelier, OH, who needs $2,000 for surgery for intervertebral disc disease.

Brownie was a family Christmas present last year 2020. He was born November 7th 2020. His name is brownie because I am a die hard Cleveland browns fan and the brownie is my favorite mascot. Brownie has been an amazing family member he’s very sweet and he loves his family very much ! Brownie hasn’t been in our lives very long but we definitely couldn’t imagine our lives with out him .

Brownie usually sleeps with me and let me tell you he’s not small for 9 months old, I have a king size bed and he takes up most of it. The first time this summer we took brownie down to the lake it was night time and he’s never been around a lake or pool , nothing . Well it was night time and we shined a flash light in the water and brownie decides to jump right off the dock into the water.

I have been off work due to loss of a pregnancy and I hadn’t been at my job very long not sure if they will let me keep my job and what money I did have saved I used pretty much all of it for what I have had done so far for brownie but these tests and surgery I just don’t .

I am actually not sure what is wrong with brownie , the vet thinks it’s intervertebral disc disease. I have done X-rays and he’s had steroids. Brownie needs more tests done like a ct scan or an mri to see exactly what the problem is and if my vet is right brownie will need surgery to fix the problem . So first I need a mri or ct scan done and go from there .

Brownie loves to be in the water, we have a hard time getting him out of the water once he’s in there. He don’t really like playing fetch very much he’s kinda lazy for that . Brownie like to chase the cats but only two of the three cats because one of the cats is really mean and brownie will not go near him. My mom has a little dog named rocket that brownie try’s to play with but rocket don’t.
