I have had Brownie since he was 8 weeks old. He's not only my best friend but he's also my emotional support dog. I have a mental illness and Brownie helps ground me. I'm a single mom so money is always tight. Brownie lives at home with me and his human sister, who is 9. I "adopted" Brownie when he was 8 weeks old. I saw a fb post that someone's dog had puppies and they couldn't care for them.

Brownie sleeps in bed with me every night. He licks my tears away when I'm crying and he cuddles me when I too depressed to do anything. He loves catching bubble with his human sister. In his past life, he was part fish because he absolutely loves anything to do with water. He loves playing fetch, treats, barking at the mail carrier,&belly rubs. Brownie is our hero. He scared away a burglar. He thinks he's a lap dog but in reality he's a 65lb beast. haha. That's our nickname for him The Beast. He eats his sisters leftovers. HE loves to dance with me, thats a funny thing to see. He absolutely loves car rides and is always the first one at the door when we are leaving.

On Friday Feb. 24, 2023 Brownie was asleep on his blanket. I left to take my 9 yr old daughter to school. When I got back Brownie shredded his blanket. He threw up twice but I didn't really think of anything too concerning. On Saturday, he started throwing up large pieces of the blanket. The ER vet showed he had 2 stomach blockages and needed surgery.

This is extremely embarrassing for me, but my dogs life/health is more important than my pride. I'm a single mom on disability. I paid $1205 deposit and still owe $1660. $415/month payment plan for 4 months, but honestly that is a struggle but I couldn't have him die!
