One day during my lunch break, I convinced my one colleague to join me to play with puppies. There were many at the pet store down the street. There was one in particular that I saw, he caught my eye as he didn't jump right at me. He waited patiently as I put my hand in the gate and he licked me. So I took a picture of him to my fiancé and took a few extra minutes to play with him. He was so adorable! He ran around me from time to time barking and running underneath the chair. There was an intelligence about him. My fiancé called me right away and asked if it was a male and what he cost. He was expensive and at the time we weren't ready for a puppy. We had a wedding months away and honeymoon. My fiancé and I talked about it and finalized the decision of not getting him. The following day, I told my fiancé how I even picked out a name. My fiancé too mentioned that he did as well. My fiancé asked what it was that I wanted to name the puppy IF we were to pick him up, when I told him Bruce. My fiancé asked if I was joking and if I really chose the name since that was the name he had chosen. It was such an unexpected coincidence that we thought it had to have been fate. That night, we picked Bruce up. Bruce and I were inseparable. I loved him as if he was my own son. I get him the best ingredient dog food, wet food, treats, toys, you name it.
