About this campaign

Bruce was rescued from a family friend whose cat unexpectedly had kittens with a stray cat. Unfortunately, they were not able to keep all of them, so I had decided to rescue one. Currently Bruce is living the college life with me in my apartment, but during breaks, he lives with my family where he is accompanied by his puppy brother.

Bruce loves sleeping on the highest ledge of his cat tower. That is where he spends a large portion of his day. When I climb into bed for the night, he will migrate to my bed sneaking under the covers.

Bruce is my first pet and has been the best addition to my life. He is a very active and curious cat. He loves causing trouble by playing in his litter box, splashing around in his water dish, or stealing my loofa from the shower. He loves making a toy out of anything he finds, whether thats a cardboard box, a plastic bag, or the plastic ring that comes on milk jugs.

We figured out that Bruce was born was a genetic condition that affects the bones of his hip, called femoral head necrosis. It is painful for him to walk on it causing him to have to limp when he walks. The hospital we are considering is called "Care Animal Hospital of Libertyville," and the treating vet being David Luaces.

I am a full time pre-medical college student that works long shifts as an EMT on the weekends to be able to pay my bills. Due to my rigorous schedule, I am unable to put in more hours at work. The little money I saved up had to be spent on my car that just broke down.
