About this campaign
Brunch came into my life 5 years ago when her mother was found as a stray at a gas station in a rural part of NM by a friend's father who is a truck driver. The litter was 5 teeny puppies and Brunch was one of them. I had no intentions of getting another dog as I already had 2 but when I saw Brunch I knew she was meant to be in my life for a long time.
Brunch is my baby, she is your typical lapdog that loves to give kisses, cuddle and snuggle under the covers in my bed at night. She loves car rides the absolute most! Walks are also a favorite of hers she loves looking for coyotes, very much a joke as she is 5 lbs, but we tease her on walks she just goes crazy for and tell her she's on the hunt for rabbits and coyotes.
When we just got Brunch she had two older siblings, they have both crossed the rainbow bridge in the last 12 months due to old age. But she has a best friend in our other ChihuahuaX, Tuco. She scratches my arm and grabs my hand to pet her as we watch TV on the sofa together at night. When she's excited she does circles in hopes to get a bone, go for a walk or a car ride.
On January 26th I was letting my foster dog outside who is 40 lbs and she accidentally trampled my 5 lb Brunch leaving her paralyzed in her hind legs. We rushed her to a 24 hour vet, I cried for 6 hours waiting to hear an update. We were then referred to another vet and neurologist as it seemed she has a spinal injury. The neurologist confirmed such and she now needs surgery.
I have one son that recently left for college 6 months ago, and I have been trying to pay his tuition so he wouldn't have to take out loans and put himself into debt. I've exhausted all of my savings and am having a hard time making ends meet.
