About this campaign
Bruno came into my life 5 years ago through an animal rescue center. All I know is that he was found, abandoned, in Riverside CA. I was looking for a companion and I came across his picture online and I immediately fell in love with his sweet eyes. I went to the rescue center and asked to see him. When the staff brought him to the play yard he ran and jumped in my arms. I adopted him that day.
Bruno is like family to us. He is a very active and playful dog. He loves walking at the park near our house, and he loves playing tug of war and fetch with his favorite rope. Bruno is also very loving and loves to cuddle. He sleeps in mine and my husbands bed and he loves to hang out with us on the couch on a lazy weekend.
Bruno is very special because he is so expressive. You can almost tell what he wants just by looking in his eyes and his attitude. He is very loving by trying to comfort you when you are sad or stressed by trying to cuddle with you or celebrate your joy with you by jumping really high up and down and bringing you toys to play with.
Bruno has been a seemingly healthy dog for the past five years up until November 20 2022. We woke up to him throwing up so much he couldn't keep water down and pooping blood. We took him to the veterinarian, where they ran tests, did x-rays, took samples, and diagnosed him with Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome (AHDS)
It has been a hard year for us financially. We got out of the Army, my husband just started a job, I had a baby who I am staying home with so we are on a fixed income. We have had unexpected expenses with car repairs and Bruno's vet bill.
