I saw Bryce, at PetSmart. I went there to pick up treats for my late husbands dog. Bryce stood out to me. He looked so sweet, yet so sad. I asked to hold him. He wrapped his arms around my neck like he was choosing me – “you’re my human”. That was it. I was in love. That night Bryce slept with us in bed. He curled up next to me and nuzzled his head onto my shoulder.

Since my husband’s passing, my baby boy, sleeps in bed next to me. He might be eating, playing or asleep on the sofa in the living room. But when I get out of the shower the get in bed, Bryce is already laying on the bed, waiting for me. Time to go to bed and cuddle up.

Bryce is the sweetest cat I could ever hope for. I fostered a couple of cats about a year after I adopted Bryce. He was such a good foster brother. He watched out for them and cuddled with them.
After my husband died, I would be sitting on the sofa crying and Bryce would lay lay behind me on the back of the sofa and put his paw on my shoulder as if to say, "It' will be okay. I'm here".

I took Bryce to the doctor because I noticed that his sides were protruding. They did blood work, x-rays and an ultra sound. The doctor said that Bryce’s spleen is leaking fluid into his abdomen. He said Bryce needs to have a Splenectomy ASAP. My little guy is barely able to walk. I can tell he is in pain. He’s barely eating or drinking anything. . He urgently needs his surgery.

My husband suggested I quit my job because it made me miserable. He made enough to cover all the bills. Unfortunately, a few months later, my husband died. And them Covid hit. Desperate, I took a job that pays half my prior salary. coming up with $1900 has been impossible.
