Bryce is a 3-year-old St. Bernard in Monterey Park, CA, who needs $2,000 for Surgery for Cataracts.

Bryce came to me when he was about three months. His owner couldn’t care for him anymore. She had bought him and flew him from Ohio. He was a really big puppy like a medium dog actually. The previous owner wanted me to sell him but being with him every day while being on medical leave and during the height of Covid, I just grew to love him. I have a small house, but I have a yard for him.

Bryce is so loving he’s not aggressive. However, he can sometimes be protective over his fur baby friends. he does well with other dogs, with the cats all the kids love him and everywhere I take him someone wants to touch him take a picture of him I always let him know if somebody’s gonna touch him. I love him very much. I take him everywhere. Makes everybody happy who comes in contact with him.

His loving nature just makes him the best the tension he draws his friendliness. He doesn’t like being all cuddled up, but he loves the belly rubs. He loves for me, to name his body parts and rub his ears. He gives me his sad puppy eyes, so I just put them in my car and I take them everywhere that I can with me he’ll run to my bed like if that’s gonna keep me from leaving. It’s so funny.

I’ve had one life-threatening situation with Bryce, and I had to take him to an emergency which they did the surgery. he would’ve died if I didn’t OK yeah and I couldn’t let that happen. but this time he has beginners cataracts, and I can see it getting worse. It’s so hard to put the drops. he goes to Banfield, but they recommended Eye care for animals, they are specialists.

I do have some insurance for him that I was able to get through my employer they cover 70% and the out -of-pocket costs are still in the thousands. He’s too young to be going through this. It saddens me every time I think that she won’t be running around he’ll be frightened
