Bubba is a 2-year-old Cane Corso in Malden, MA, who needs $2,000 for Torn Meniscus.

Bubba was 4 months old when we adopted him from a rehome situation. He was not taken care of and after countless vet appointment we found out he had multiple parasites from eating raw meat. After months on prescription food we got rid of the parasites. A few months later we realized something was wrong with his eyes. We ended up paying out of pocket $4000 for cherry eye surgery in both eyes.

Bubba is the king of our home. Every night bubba sleeps on his own full size mattress bed with his favorite stuffed elephant toy. Bubba loves to dig his head in the toy bin and pull out every toy for you to play with him. Going on hikes and in the ocean are bubbas two favorite things. When you shower bubba has to stick his head around the curtain in attempts to catch any and all water possible.

Bubba has a very intimidating look to him and because of that we thought naming him bubba could help lessen that. He is the definition of a general giant. Afraid of his own shadow, amazing with kids, beyond scared of our cat and so on. He is the sweetest boy that asks for all the love possible from anyone and will do anything to try to make you feel better. He will cuddle with you at any chance.

A couple months back Bubba was running outside chasing a rabbit and yelped and fell to the ground. After immediately bring him to our veterinarian and doing blood work and x-rays it was clearly a torn meniscus. We have pet insurance so I figured everything would be OK. When I called, I was told they would not help him. As we have not had insurance for a full year. (9 months of having it.)

After paying for bubbas past medical expenses as well as pet insurance every month we are unable to afford the estimate the vet had given us. We recently had to move in due to no longer being able to afford our housing and are living back with our parents trying to save.
