About this campaign

We first met Bubba at our local shelter just hours after having most (if not all) of his teeth extracted. He was a little out of it, but oh so sweet! Little tongue sticking out, missing patches of fur everywhere and a bum ear. But despite all that, he was full of hope and love. We knew right then and there that he needed a home to fall his own.

We lead a small but content life together. My daughter and I have shared our home with our first fur child - Kona, for many years. She is a magnificent german shepherd we've raised since puppy-hood. Bubba recently joined our little family, and stepped in without hesitation. We have eachother and all members of this family are grateful for that.

As a single parent with no financial help from the dad, I must spend sparingly. 2020 saw us through a divorce, a car accident which resulted in loss of car and remaining payments and medical bills in the thousands. A little help would go a long way, but I've survived worse.

Bubba was recently diagnosed to have FIV. He also has complications with his mouth. The dental extractiona may not have been successful, as they aren't healing very well. We must investigate further to find the source of stench coming from his mouth, and to see if roots were left in during this procedure. We've also glimpsed a hole toward the back of his mouth which needs immediate attention.

Our Bubba had his teeth extracted shortly before we found him. If that was the right call for him or not is not yet clear, but it has had a funny effect on his tongue. You see, since there are no teeth to hold it back anymore, his little tongue sticks out just a bit, giving him a look of permanent sass. Cute? Yes! Problematic? We hope not!
