About this campaign

I adopted Bubba six years ago from a shelter; he was hiding in his kennel after being adopted and returned from a difficult past. The first months were hard due to his anxiety, but he learned he’s safe and loved. Now he’s a loyal, friendly therapy dog—and even our rescued feral kitten seeks him for comfort. Please help us give Bubba a chance to heal again.

Bubba hasn’t been himself lately. The vet found a fever and a liver mass. Antibiotics seemed to help, but sick-clinic bloodwork hasn’t improved. The doctor recommends an ultrasound-guided needle biopsy to see if the mass is solid or fluid; the estimate is $1,088 for the procedure. He may need surgery costing thousands, which I can’t afford.

Bubba has become an amazing member of our family. He goes everywhere with me and stays by my side. Once he knew he was in his forever home, his personality truly shined—he’s loving to everyone, especially family and friends. He also bonds with our other pets, including our guinea pig. Seeing him sick and worrying about losing him is overwhelming for us.

I’m on a fixed income and care for my autistic adult son. We’ve struggled financially, and we recently spent $1,100 to diagnose Bubba’s liver mass. We need financial support for further treatment so he can get better. It would mean the world to us to save Bubba.
