This fluffy little snowball with mismatched eyes and a personality twice his size is Buck, and he needs your help. Buck was found in a cardboard box with his siblings, abandoned at a remote ranch in Bakersfield. Thankfully, he is now under the loving care of Mission Bay Puppy Rescue. He’s a goofy, tail-wagging lovebug who greets everyone like an old friend.

Whether you’re a human, a dog, or just walking by—you’re instantly part of Buck’s fan club. But behind those baby blues, Buck has been struggling with a painful condition called Lower Lid Entropion OS, where his eyelid rolls inward and his eyelashes scratch his eye. Ouch! 😢 Buck will need to undergo a delicate surgery to correct the problem, and it’s just the beginning.

His veterinary team suspects he may need follow-up procedures and continued treatment to ensure his eye heals properly and he can live a pain-free life. Even with a rescue discount, his first surgery alone is over $1,600—and that doesn’t include what may come next. As a small, grassroots puppy rescue, this kind of expense is a big hurdle for them—but one they’re determined to clear for Buck.
