About this campaign
Meet Buddha, a tiny kitten with a belly big enough to break your heart.
When a litter of kittens was brought to Adopt A Cat Foundation, they were all small, scared, and in need of love. But one of them stood out right away — a sweet little girl with a round, bloated tummy, constant crying, and desperate food guarding.
Right now, Buddha is in distress. She’s been seen by two veterinarians, undergone an X-ray that showed no clear answers, and received multiple enemas to relieve painful constipation. Though she is finally passing stool, her belly remains uncomfortably large and hard, and her anus is inflamed and painful. Despite these efforts, she continues to cry out in discomfort.
With no conclusive diagnosis and her condition persisting, Adopt a Cat Foundation has been advised to consult with an internal medicine specialist for more advanced diagnostics. This next step could involve ultrasounds, contrast imaging, blood panels, and more — all crucial to getting to the root of Buddha’s suffering.
But these services come at a steep cost.
Please consider donating, sharing Buddha’s story, and helping Adopt A Cat Foundation give her the specialist care she urgently needs. Together, we can give Buddha the peaceful future her name so beautifully promises.
Update 8/9/25
After a few visits to the Internal Medicine Specialist and tweaking Buddha's protocol of medication and food, they determined that she did not need to procedures they originally anticipated! We are so happy that Buddha has improved so much without having to undergo the uncomfortable and long-term stretching procedures we were anticipating.
