About this campaign

When Buddy and I met, he was a rescue pup at about a year old. I had to drive far to go get him but we met and he knew he was safe with me. We figured he had ran away because he was being abused. So, really, he saved his own life. All he needed was love and to learn manners. And he did once I brought him home.

Buddy’s favorite is to go for walks. He loves his treats and Buddy just loves love. His tail is always wagging no matter what. He either sleeps with me or on his cushy chair now. Well I’ll rephrase that, since becoming blind, he mostly sleeps in the chair now. He became blind due to diabetes. A shock to find out he had but I’d noticed he started drinking a lot more water…

He’s a special boy and I love him. He was always happy waggling his tail. He’s the cutest little dog. He loves when I sing to him. But lately, he’s not as tail-waggling because he gets sad. He can’t see now. I know that with this surgery, he would be able to see again, and with new lenses in the eyes, the cataracts won’t come back.

My Buddy boy is blind now and he needs the surgery that takes away cataracts. It’s very expensive and I wish I could pay for it myself but I will need to somehow raise money for donations. I just want for him to see again. The doctors we're seeing should be able to restore his sight.

Yes, I’ve been through it the ringer for sure. My income is fixed as I’ve had to go through divorce and figure out how to hold on to my house. So I’ve been able to do it, work, and feed us, but extras are really hard. But now I’m faced with having to bring sight to my dog!
