Buddy Hance is a 1.5-year-old Goldendoodle in Haslet, TX, who needs $2,000 for Total Left Hip Replacement.

We got Buddey for Christmas in 2022 when he was 8 weeks old. We have another dog named Moose, and he needs an emotional support animal due to anxiety. So we were interested in getting another puppy. Buddey and Moose have been inseparable since they met. We started referring to our new puppy as Moose's little "buddy" and our love of the Christmas movie "Elf" inspired Buddey's name.

Buddey prefers to sleep on the bed with us, but since he likes to stretch out and is much bigger than when he was a puppy, he usually ends up on the floor or dog bed in front of our bed. He loves to explore, and although he will bark at you if you are new, he warms up quickly. He loves to jump up to get love, and will bug you until you pay attention to him.

Moose is Buddey's best bud and brother. His other bestie is Tippi, my parents' youngest dog. They all love to play and run and bark. He loves to help Moose patrol the backyard, and protect the house from strangers. Buddey thinks the Roomba and the regular vacuum cleaner are monsters for him to fight! He loves to bark and act like he will take them on. Of course, he likes to chew EVERYTHING too!

Buddey was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Specifically his left hip does not sit right in the joint. According to the orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Orencole at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, Buddey will need a complete hip replacement in order to fix the hip dysplasia. This surgery will allow Buddey to have a long healthy life free of pain and issues with mobility.

Over the bast 3 or so years, I have had a lot of medical issues, that the doctors can't seem to figure out what is wrong with me. So the doctor bills have started to stack up, and now, we have received the news that Buddey needs a total hip replacement within the year.
