Buddy is a three-year-old Shepherd mix in Hartford, MI, who needs $650 for urgent care.

Buddy had a hideous life before Callie S. saved him. "I recently got Buddy from a neglect situation," Callie tells Waggle. "Buddy was on a leash outside since the family got him as a puppy with no human interaction. Buddy had no vet care before coming into my home. Now Buddy is part of my family, and I am ready to take care of him and give him a good life."

Callie brought Buddy to the Paw Paw Veterinary Clinic soon after she got him. And poor Buddy was diagnosed with heartworm, Lyme disease, colitis, and intestinal parasites. Now Callie is struggling to pay for all the medical care he needs. "I currently work full time at a hospital as a technician, but I recently graduated college and bought a car in March. My bills are over 3/4 of my income already. I just want Buddy to live a happy and healthy life inside my home so he can finally feel happy and loved," she says.

Buddy is a very cuddly dog but suffers from anxiety due to his past. Buddy now has a sister named Cookie, and she loves him, but he's not sure about her yet. Buddy loves to go on walks and give mom sass whenever he can. Buddy is finally starting to play with toys and loves them. Buddy loves to give hugs too!

"Buddy has had a hard past and has been a new experience for me with his anxiety," Callie adds. "But he loves to lay right next to me and swats me if I'm not paying attention to him. He loves to jump on people, wraps his legs around them, and puts his head next to their body like a hug. He's the sweetest little boy."
