Buddy Jr. is a 9-year-old Pug in Kansas City, MO, who needs $1,700 for Cataract Surgery.

Buddy Jr. came to us from Nebraska. We have had Buddy since he was 1 month old. Buddy is the only animal in the home. He was named Buddy Jr. because we have only had pugs and the last pug that we had was named Buddy. He unfortunately passed away due to medical complications. Buddy Jr. took his place in our lives and has brightened every day with his funny, energetic nature.

Buddy Jr. loves to watch cartoons, enjoys animal shows, likes to take walks, play with his toys. I'm a teacher of 25 students but have no kids of my own. I go home every night to my little boy Buddy Jr. who helps me relax and de stress from the busy days at school. He will lay on my lap or simply climb up on the sofa behind me and rest his head on my shoulder. He truely understands my feelings.

Buddy Jr. is a special dog because of his intelligence. He watches television shows with animals, watches cartoons, He enjoys going with me to get take out. He likes barking at the drive through tellers and at the window. He lets them know that he's there for his special treat too. Buddy also enjoys taking long walks, and rides in the car. He loves the outdoors.

Buddy was diagnosed with Diabetes in May of this year. He recently developed cataracts on both of his eyes and has lost a lot of his vision. Because , he loves the outdoors and taking walks, not being able to see has taken away one of his greatest loves.

Living on a teacher's salary I'm not able to fund the surgery. Buddy is all I have. He's my child whom I'd do anything for.It's difficult to see Buddy lose his sight not being able to do those things he loves doing. Assistance to help Buddy see again would be appreciated.
