About this campaign

We got Buddy when he was 3 weeks old. We found him in the side of the road so we picked him up and he has been with us ever since. We have 3 other dogs as well and our Great Dane and Buddy are the best of friends. Right now our Great Dane is actually really sad and not doing much because Buddy can’t come out and play with him.

Buddy is always there when you’re sad and is the best playmate for our other dogs and he just wants to make sure that you’re good. He is very playful. He loves kids and he is great with babies. He becomes everyone’s favorite when they meet our dogs. He's a big cuddle baby. He thinks he is a lap dog.

My wife is on disability so she has fixed income. I’m the only one working and I have been off past 2 weeks due to spraining my ankle pretty bad. So I’m just now getting back to work but catching up on bills as well.

Halloween night Buddy was hit by a car. He broke two ribs completely and his spine was compressed which causes a lot of swelling and he fractured his tail which is needing to be amputated. He needs his tail amputated or it will cause more damage.

He likes to do this thing that we call a scowl, where he smiles at us and stretches out and just rolls on his back so he can get his chest rubbed. When he gets really excited he gets what we call the zoomies and he just goes nuts. Another thing that he does that just makes us smile is when a baby is around. He is just so gentle with them.
