About this campaign

My daughter received a call from an out of state shelter. A friend there knew we had Chihuahuas and asked if we could take one more. He had been abused and had been in more than two homes. He needed a forever home filled with love and safety. He was very scared when he arrived by plane. After a week with us, he learned he was safe. He became a wonderful addition to our pack. He was just 9 months old.

Buddy and our youngest male dog were neutered together a week after Buddy's arrival. They were kenneled in recovery. They got along well despite being new to each other. Buddy played, ate, walked, and enjoyed his new home. He had a scab on his nose from the last home he was in. We helped him heal physically and mentally. We helped Buddy realize he was safe in our pack. He got along with our dogs.

Buddy is the largest of our dogs. He loves to let the neighborhood know he's outside to potty. He is the last of our pack. He is a happy dog who loves snuggles, walks, and sleeping any perching anywhere. He cracks us up with his facial expressions. He loves special fruit and veggie treats, extra hugs, playing ball, car rides, and visits from other family and friends. He's our special little dog.

Two weeks ago we thought he needed his glands expressed. We took him to the vet hospital, they took care of him then sent us home with a cone, and medications. At his follow up, the doctor said this may be a mass, not a swollen anal gland. He started bleeding and yelping. Buddy was taken to Blue Pearl ER hospital. Blood work and X-rays were done. We were sent home with a list of surgeons.

I'm a Disabled Veteran. Both facilities gave a military discount which helped. However, it took all of my excess funds. Surgery is beyond my means. In the past two years, I've lost my mom and a dog unexpectedly. I can't lose Buddy. Please help me get my happy sweet boy back.
