Buddy is a 9-year-old Pitbull Mix in Perris, CA, who needs $1,900 for Chemotherapy and Tumor Removal.

I adopted my baby Buddy from a foster family 9 years ago. They stated that when they got him he was malnourished and leery of people. However, when I met him there was an instant connection. I already had Sweetie, a kitten that was a stray in the neighborhood and when they met they got along fine. A year later I decided to get him a sibling and rescued Pinky from the local county animal shelter.

When Buddy's tired and ready to go to bed at night Buddy will go upstairs and sleep wherever he wants. Buddy greets everyone in the house with a nose nudge to rub him whenever possible. It is never enough so he will go to the next person if they get tired of rubbing him. Buddy loves our morning walks and as you can see he loves the water. Buddy guards over our grandkids and sleeps with them.

We don't need an alarm clock because when Buddy is ready for his walk or is hungry he comes to the side of our bed and licks us to wake us up as though we're messing up his schedule. When we get ready to go somewhere Buddy is always ready to ride along and the front seat is his! He loves his McDonalds hamburger treats and talks to the drive thru staff as if to say hurry up with my food.

Buddy was diagnosed with a heart condition about a year ago that we have been treating successfully with medication. However Buddy loves the sun and gets melanomas every few years. Buddy had surgery 2 years ago to remove the melanomas and he's been fine. Now he has several big tumors requiring multiple treatments of chemotherapy and surgery.

In March tests were done to determine if his heart condition would prohibit the surgery and whether the melanoma was cancerous. We paid $2,700 for the tests and because I was recently put on disability I cannot afford additional treatments. I love Buddy dearly and need help
