I adopted a smooth coat Border Collie named Buddy about 3 years ago, who had been very badly abused, was emaciated, had intestinal worms, terrified of everyone and every thing. He has been a work in progress, but with lots of care, work and love he has really progressed. He is everything to me, my best friend. He has tested positive for heartworm, and I desperately help for treatment.

Buddy is my world. He has overcome a horrible start in life to become a beautiful dog. He is so smart, so sweet, so well mannered and he loves being my running partner as much as I do him. He has worked so hard, has had so much courage to learn to trust again and he needs help with heartworm treatment so he can live the life he deserves.

Buddy is a fantastic athlete. He is my running buddy, but also loves obstacle courses, and jumping through his hula hoop. At the end of the day he likes to snuggle up with me, our best part of the day. He is such a mild mannered boy, never imposes or begs, just greets and says hello. He sleeps laying on his back, feet sticking up in the air. He is a character.

Buddy tested positive for heartworm 2 weeks ago, then a 2nd test confirmed. He is neg for microfilaria. He has been asymptomatic, but recently has developed a light cough, Also seems to be losing his appetite. I am in contact with Franklin Animal Clinic, in Franklin Indiana. I desperately need funding so Buddy can begin his treatment. I am desperate as I am worried about his health deteriorating.

Buddy is my world, owns my heart, and is my hero for overcoming his horrific first year of life. He doesn't deserve to be ravaged my the effects of heartworm, not after all he has gone through. I can't sleep, have a hard time eating I am so worried about him. Please help him
