Buddy continues to receive the daily insulin and monitoring he needs to manage his diabetes, and his family is doing everything possible to keep him comfortable, happy, and healthy. Despite his diabetes and the loss of his vision, Buddy hasn't let either challenge take away his incredible spirit.
He is still the same loving, gentle boy his mom has always known — her faithful companion, her best friend, and her Champion. He continues to navigate life with remarkable confidence and fills his mom's days with the same sweet personality and big smile that she has loved for eight wonderful years.

About this campaign
Buddy has been his mom's faithful companion since the very moment he entered the world. Now, after eight wonderful years together, this sweet Rat Terrier mix is facing the biggest challenge of his life.
In April, Buddy was diagnosed with diabetes—a lifelong disease that requires daily insulin injections to keep him alive. After weeks of trial and error, glucose monitoring, and adjusting his treatment plan, Buddy is finally responding well to his medication. But staying healthy comes at a cost his family is struggling to afford.
Buddy's ongoing medical care—including insulin, syringes, and regular glucose curve monitoring—costs approximately $156 every month. His devoted mom is hoping to raise $600 to help cover the next several months of the medication he depends on every single day.
As if diabetes wasn't enough, Buddy has also recently lost his vision. Remarkably, he hasn't let it steal his joy. He still navigates his home with confidence, greets his mom with his signature smile, and continues to show the same gentle, loving spirit that has made him her "Champion" since he was a puppy.
Buddy's story began the day his mom helped deliver him after rescuing his mother. They've been inseparable ever since.
