Buddy is a 13-year-old Mix in Walden, NY, who needs $2,000 for Post Op Cardiac Arrest.

I adopted Buddy when he was a few weeks old. He was sick with pneumonia at the time and was the only to survive. I nursed him back to health. He has been my rock and my child for the past 13 years. I have been his best friend and he has been mine. He has a brother that is a cat named Mao Mao whom they are like best friends as well. He is always right next to me and never leaves my side.

Buddy always would look at me with his little eyebrows and as if talking to me would tell me what he needed. If he needed to go for a walk or was hungry or wants to play I could always tell. He would never leave my side whether I was just walking around the house or going to the bathroom. He is my other half. He always loved having my family over and never wanted anyone to leave.

I have exhausted all my resources and savings and maxed out all my cards between the surgery and the ER visit. He is finally somewhere that can help him and it would mean everything to me if he came home. He is my child i cant lose him. He has kept me going for the last 13y

Buddy went in for surgery on 4/15/21 to have a mass removed from his side. While they were closing him up he redlined and they used epinephrine twice to bring him back. When he came to he was in a comatose like state. He could barely lift his head. He has made it through 3 nights so far and is continuing to fight. He is being treated at Guardian Veterinary Specialist in Brewster NY

Buddy is special in every way. If he could just get the words out he could talk. He is so smart. He always tilts his head and perks his ears when you talk to him as if he actually understands what your saying to him. He always nudged me as if to say "hey daddy I need some attention". He is the most intelligent dog i have ever met. He knows so many words gestures and phrases its unbelievable.
