Bug is a 12 year old Mix-Breed in Ames, IA, who needs $2,000 for Hemilaminectomy for IVDD.

Bug was my wife's cat before we met, she got him while living in Hawaii with her ex husband. He was found at a McDonalds drive through by a friend of hers and they called him her happy meal kitty. He is named Bug due to his big bug eyes! He lives with me and my wife and our other cat Josh. Bug and Josh are best buddies and Josh definitely misses running around with his buddy.

We discovered Bugs spinal issues after already having recently had surgery to remove bladder stones. We noticed he was gaining weight and seemed to shun activity. Now we know why, the poor guy has been in pain from movement. Thankful to Blue Pearl pet hospital in Des Moines for finding this spine issue.

Bug is hilarious. I have lived with many cats over the years and generally they're all unique in their own ways but Bug is especially unique. He LOVES sink water! He especially loves to stick his head under the faucet while it's running, but not too heavy of a stream, it has to be just right. He's always getting his head soaked, so one of his nicknames is wet head. Bug also loves his brother, Josh

Unfortunately this surgery is not cheap. I don't know of anyone that can comfortably fork over $7k without issue. My wife and I both already work 40+ hour a week full time jobs. We can absolutely get the care credit card but there's no way we can afford the near $400/month
