About this campaign

I found Bugs (well, he more so found me) last spring and he has been the best little buddy ever since. We’ve since added his sister Princess & they have become BFF’s in no time. Bugs is goofy, vocal, and always ready to play or chase!

Bugs is the king of my home, and I just live in his presence. He enjoys having his meals on time, chasing his sister Princess (and me), and people watching from the window.

Bugs is a talker and an eater. I have barely used an alarm clock since I got him, because I never have to worry that I won’t be woken up to feed him. He has quite a few quirky behaviors, but my favorite is probably when he decides to cuddle up with my tortoise in the mornings.

We found out Bugs has FIC, a chronic bladder condition, a couple of weeks back. We treated it with pain management at the time, but this week his bladder became completely blocked. He stopped eating and was in a lot of pain. He is currently in the hospital being treated, and we are waiting to find out if surgery is required.

Whether or not he needs surgery, the hospitalization alone is very expensive. I’ve already spent close to $1200 on diagnostics and pain management for his FIC earlier this month, and the hospital stay has been another unexpected expense.
