About this campaign
The second Buster's family saw a picture of him, they flew from New England to Alabama, picked him up, and drove 17 hours back to the East Coast.
"He was a little teddy bear," Alex T., his human dad, tells Waggle.
Buster and Alex's children have grown up together over the last year. "Buster has a bond with everyone. He loves tug of war, fetch the ball, and running around outside. He loves to follow the kids around and run," Alex says.
So when Buster seemed ill recently, they rushed him to Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center.
"When Buster would drink water, he would get sick right after," Alex says.
The medical team found Buster was dehydrated, and his kidneys were failing. An ultrasound revealed something a blockage that needs to be surgically fixed. Alex is struggling to pay for the operation and hopes you might help their family.
"This is one thing we never thought we would have to go through," Alex says. "It was unexpected, and financially we were not prepared for this. To see him feeling bad breaks our hearts. It would mean the world to us just to have him back to himself."
