Buster is a 4 Year Old Mix-Breed in Cold Spring, MN, Who Needs $1,500 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

He’s the man of the house with a baby sister Mirri always grooming him and loving him and a big sister Ellie who’s big sloppy dog licks still show love. He was a rescue cat and our sweet boy Warren had just passed. So my daughter and I went to the humane society and that day we adopted both Buster and Ellie. They brought our family together and really completed us. Now he’s stopped eating

About a year ago he was peeing outside the litter box, after eliminating it being a behavior we brought him to the vet. Found out our boy had Diabetes. Had no idea it was possible, well the peeing started again. So I brought him in a month ago, had him checked out. $200 later that I couldn’t really spare, tests all come back good, glucose looks good, not worried about UTI, nothing concerning.

Buster gets us through our ups and downs. He’s been there for my difficult teen when she was here and I probably owe him her life. Now he’s not eating much at all just nibbling. The vet put him on gabapentin, and ever since he started that he slowly lost his spark. Stopped that over a week ago. Symptoms are still the same and he won’t really move from one spot.

I’m a single mother, I work in early childhood education. That’s a field where we put out so much more than comes in but I’d never change it. I provide most of my own supplies for my classroom, they are my kids too. I’m just trying.
