About this campaign
Butter has been the “girl” heart of our home since she was rescued at 5 weeks old. Now, 8, she lives with her dog brothers, Bunny and Bodie. Her newly diagnosed portosystemic shunt has caused neurologic changes and incontinence, causing her to wear tiny diapers. After 8 years of loving and unconditional loyalty, I can’t give up. With treatment we can stop the toxins and get back to her happy self.
She has been healthy. She was diagnosed one week ago by our local vet, Rustebakke in CLARKSTON, WA . She is now receiving care @ WA State University Vet Hospital in Pullman WA
Butter is special to our family. When I rescued her I thought I finally have a tiny, girlie princess dog! I even named her Princess Buttercup after my favorite movie. Well, I had no idea how far off I was! She has a spunky, bossy, and outright queen of the pack mentality! That is why she no longer goes by Buttercup, but just Butter. So I could add different suffixes to her name, Butterbean, etc.
After 8 years together, Butter needs care that I cannot afford. Her vital upcoming CT scan will be $2100, the first step in her care. I am doing all I can for her and her brothers but I need help with this urgent medical hurdle.
