Butterscotch is a 10 year old Poodle in Scotch Plains, NJ, who needs $6,200 for Inflammatory Bowel Disease Treatment and Tests.

We adopted Butterscotch when he was just 10 weeks old. We fell in love with him as soon as we saw him. He's the only pet in the house and is now 10 years old. We adore him as much as having a child. We call him my daughter's brother as she is an only child.

Unfortunately, Butterscotch started throwing up blood and the next day his stool was covered in blood. It was very scary to see and traumatic for my daughter and my husband and I. So far the hospital bill is already at $6200, and he's staying another night and running more tests. He has Inflammatory Bowel Disease and will need to be on medicine and a special doet for the rest of his life.

He is the snuggler of the house and always comforts people when they're not feeling well. He was a birthday gift for my daughter so she is especially attached to him. He twirls around in circles like he's doing a circus performance. It's so funny to see.

This is an unexpected and unplanned-for MAJOR medical expense. I am only able to get freelance work and I am not working full-time. Having him healthy again and able to enjoy his senior years would mean the world to us.
