About this campaign
When Cadbury was brought to the shelter by a caring community cat feeder, his situation was already dire. He had been brutally attacked by another animal—possibly a coyote—and the wounds were so severe that he was placed on the euthanasia list.
Shelter staff did what they could, removing the necrotic tissue and stitching his injuries, but Cadbury needed far more care than they were able to provide. That’s when Adopt a Cat Foundation stepped in.
Refusing to let this sweet boy’s story end too soon, the rescue rushed him into their care and secured an urgent appointment with their trusted private veterinarian. Cadbury will be seen first thing this week to evaluate the extent of his healing needs, continue critical wound care, and receive any additional vetting he still needs.
But his journey forward depends on compassionate people like you. Your donation today will go directly toward Cadbury’s medical treatments, follow-up care, and the support he needs to finally feel safe again. Every contribution—large or small—helps ensure this brave survivor gets the second chance he so clearly deserves.

Today, we’re thrilled to report that Cadbury is healing beautifully. His wound is closing well, healthy scar tissue has formed, and his fur is already growing back. The veterinarian is very pleased with his progress and says that everything looks great.
Even better? Cadbury’s gentle spirit is shining through. He is incredibly sweet and clearly grateful for every bit of kindness—soaking up attention from the volunteers who spend time with him and reminding us all why this fight was worth it.

1/3/26 Update
We’re overjoyed to share the best possible news about Cadbury: his wounds have completely healed, his fur has fully grown back, and this resilient, sweet boy has been adopted by a wonderful family who is absolutely smitten with him.
After everything Cadbury endured—from a brutal animal attack and being placed on the euthanasia list, to intensive wound care and a long road to recovery—seeing him healthy, comfortable, and finally safe in a loving home is nothing short of incredible. His body healed, his spirit never broke, and his gentle nature shone through every step of the way.
This happy ending was made possible because people like you chose compassion. Your donations ensured Cadbury received the emergency veterinary care, follow-up treatments, medications, and weeks of wound management he needed to survive and thrive.
While Cadbury’s chapter has closed beautifully, his medical bills remain. We are still working to fully cover the cost of his lifesaving care, and your support today will help ensure that Cadbury’s rescue doesn’t take resources away from the next injured cat who desperately needs help.
If you’re able, please consider making a donation to help us close out Cadbury’s vet bill and continue saying “yes” to cats who have nowhere else to turn. Every gift truly makes a difference—and directly saves lives.
