ThisIsHouston received a plea from a local animal shelter about an injured puppy who was found abandoned at a hotel. They could not ignore this sweet soul who desperately needed help. They picked him up and despite being 6 months old, he only weighed 20 pounds and had wounds all over, mainly covering his entire back left leg.

ThisIsHouston immediately took Caden to the ER where he was hospitalized. He was dangerously anemic and needed several blood transfusions. X-rays revealed he has old fractures too from previously being hit by car, but these wounds were more recent so it is suspected he was hit by a car at least twice in his short life.

Despite Caden going through so much pain and trauma, he is quick to wag his tail and give love. He has a long recovery ahead but ThisIsHouston is determined to make sure he gets all the care he needs to be a happy, healthy puppy.
