Caden is a 11-year-old Pit Bull in Wilmington, DE, who needs $2,000 for Teca Surgery.

Currently Caden lives with my son, his fiancee and his doggy brother Bishop, they are expecting a new baby in June however he is our family dog and we all pitch in with his care one way or another. With new baby on the way, finances are really tight however Caden's surgery is scheduled for July. We want him to continue to enjoy life. Beside his hearing, he's 11 but physically in shape.

Though Caden lives with my son, he's our family dog and is a comforter for us all. He's so loving and loves getting cuddles. No matter who it is, anyone who's comes into contact with Caden instantly falls for him. It's so awesome when people who I haven't seen in a long time ask, 'how's Caden?. I had a person who works in a different department ask me the same thing. He makes an impression.

It's a joke that Caden is my grandchild. He gets birthday gifts and gifts for holidays just like everyone else. He's so spoiled, when he comes to my house to visit he knows he's home and just plops in the floor and naps like there's no tomorrow. Watching him age makes me smile and brings me sadness at the same time.

He has struggled with allergies all his life. He's taken many medications to try to get them controlled, these worked early on but as he's gotten older, allergies are worse. At first it was hot spots, the ear infections and other issues associated with food & seasonal allergies. After all the treatment, the vet has determined that the only option left is Teca Surgery.

Unfortunately we have no emergency fund and with my son & his fiancee expecting a child one month before the surgery, we know that with them being out of work for paternity and maternity leave, they will not be able to pay for the surgery on their own.
