Cairo was once one of nine puppies. Today, he is the sole survivor of his litter. He is bravely fighting an ongoing battle with pneumonia. His entire young life has been spent moving between shelters, never truly knowing comfort. Now, thanks to Yucaipa Valley Animal Placement stepping in, Cairo is finally experiencing a sense of safety and hope.

For the past two months, Cairo has been battling pneumonia with everything he has. Yucaipa Valley Animal Placement is committed to providing the critical care he needs, including antibiotics, radiographs, and blood work. Because he is still so young and growing, he also requires additional supplements, vitamins, and probiotics to help strengthen his small body and give him the best possible chance at recovery.

Cairo’s condition means he may not live the full lifespan of a typical dog, but that does not stop him from embracing every joyful moment. Thank you to everyone who donated to Cairo's healing journey. He is doing exceptionally well! One of the managers from the rescue has officially adopted him, and she says he's a light in her life. He still has a long way to go, but he will have the happiest life.
