About this campaign
We have had Cali since she was a kitten. We rescued her and her sister from a farm. They go everywhere with us and we have always prioritized proactive and preventative care so she would have a long, happy life. We
always do whatever needed to save them when possible. She still have many years ahead but now her thyroid condition returned and in order to keep those years many, we could use help
Cali is the household greeter. She loves everyone and is often seen with the kids and going to everyone’s room. She loves her sister, the family, friends, ripping up paper, sitting in boxes, and lounging on top of couches. She does tricks for treats and loves chasing toys and licking her banana toy with cat nip.
She loves food even though we don’t give her any and learned years ago how to sniff for it from a dog, so she is often caught sniffing around the kitchen. She loved bird watching and sun bathing. She is a talker and always has something to say, especially when she is trying to stop any arguments in the house.
Cali has hyperthyroid which was medically managed after this radioactive iodine treatment for the past 8 years but it has returned. Two years ago we had taken out loans to spend 8000 saving her from a pancreas attack and she has been healthy since outside of this thyroid issue returning but we just don’t have access to the money to treat it at the moment and don’t want to risk waiting.
We are a one income household in Washington state due to health issues and pandemic. We survive okay but don’t have savings and already have debt from medical crisis 2 years ago so can’t find anymore loans. Our pets are family and our kids.
