Callie is a 2-year-old Calico in Joplin, MO, who needs $880 for x-rays and an ultrasound.

Callie came into our life through a friend. That friend found her in a really bad home but couldn't take care of her so they gave her to us. We noticed Callie was getting skinnier and also not as energetic a few weeks ago. Well when it finally came time to take her to the vet, the situation was worse than we thought. She is at risk of being put down due to us not being able to afford vet bills.

My daughter immediately fell in love with her. Callie has been in my daughter's life for 3 years now and my daughter loves her so much. Anytime my daughter isn't feeling well, Callie will go into her room, hop on her bed & cuddle with her until she feels better. Callie also watches over her by sitting by her door at night so my daughter isn't scared.

My mother had fallen on the 22nd and broken her leg. She was the main source of income for us and so her losing her job put a financial burden on us. She then got Covid in December. It's just been an uphill battle ever since.

Callie has been an all around healthy cat ever since we got her. She hasn't had any real pressing medical issues till now. The only thing that drove us insane was her constant meowing due to her being in heat, but other than that, she has been a very energetic and loving cat to me, my husband, my daughter and my mother.

When Callie had energy, she would chase our other 3 cats around and act like a crackhead lol. She also would play with us behind the curtain while sun bathing. The funniest thing I think she has done is when we are taking a bath or shower, she will hop up onto the counter, onto the toilet and then come super close to the curtain and sniff to make sure we are okay.
