Cal-bug came into my life years ago, when my little sister chose the calico cat that was walking across the roof of the barn at a family friends house. She lived with my family for several years, but once I got my own apartment in my college town, I missed having an animal around as I had growing up. My sister was sweet enough to ask if I wanted to move Calypso in with me.

A few months ago I was told of a few different problems Calypso was having. The first one was heartworms, which have been medicated. The issue that has gotten more bothersome, is Cali's broken tooth. What started as innocent drooling has turned into loud meows after dinner. The risk of infection increases daily, but the expense of the surgery is too much for me to handle.

Calypso is the well-behaved older sister to Phoebe. She learned to play when she got a sister, and quickly became a very playful girl. She loves sunbathing, her scratcher and her mouse toys! Her fluffy paws keep her slipping and sliding when she runs around, but she always ends the day on her designated pillow. She may not be ultra cuddly, but she always naps nearby!

I am a full-time college student who works two jobs. A surgery costing over a thousand dollars is near to impossible for me to afford on my own. Knowing she hurts is devastating. Having her happy and healthy would mean a more peaceful life for Cal-girl to live out her days.
