Camber is a 7 year old American Shorthair in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $900 for Mass Removal and Dental.

Camber was adopted from Petco by a family in 2024. They had him less than six months, and were looking to re-home him. I knew nothing of Camber at this time except he needed a new family to love him. I stepped up, in October 2024. I’ve had him for almost a year now and he lives inside full time with me as his caregiver.

Sploot Veterinary Care is where I established care for Camber when I got him. I noticed after I had gotten him that he had a small lump on his forehead, about the size of a styrofoam bead. When I took him in to establish care I got this bump aspirated and tested for malignancy. The results were inconsistent, with abnormal cells. I got an estimate to get this mass removed, 1,300$-$1,900.

Camber is a sassy boy, who knows what he’s worth (a treat a day). He gets quite overstimulated, just like his momma, so I know how to handle him perfectly! He likes a quiet, calm environment with chin scratches, but be sure to stop before he has to tell you too!! He’s the most perfect friend for me, and melts the heart of his grandma, who hates cats!!

I am a full time college student, and work part time at a hospital as a surgical assistant. I save lives all day long and it breaks my heart to not be able to save Cambers quality of life. Bettering my future is important, but he’s priority and I will do what I have to do.
