About this campaign

Camelot is a sweet gray tabby. She was dropped off at an apartment complex and left to fend alone. She also had five kittens that needed attention.. A member of the community contacted Paws to Care for help. We went to the area and observed the situation. She had been hit by a car also. We discovered she had a broken leg. We quickly took her to a veterinarian partner for services.

Camelo's leg injury was severe and had to be amputated. Though missing a leg, she is adapting well with her balance and mobility. She is still caring for her kittens and keeping them safe as a mother does. She and the kittens are in our safe, caring foster home until she weans her kittens and can be adopted.

She adapts well with only one leg. Though missing a leg, she is adapting well with keeping her balance. she is also very mobile. She is still caring for her kittens and keeping them safe as a mother does. She and the kitten are in our safe, caring foster home until she weans her kittens and can be adopted.

Pari Veterinary Clinic in Pari, TN performed the surgery.
She had been hit by a car causing extensive damage to her front leg. Not only was she in excruciating pain. Because of the severe damage done to her ligaments and tendons, she was unable to move part of her leg. The vet's recommendation was to remove that leg.

Paws to Care is funded through donations and fundraising campaigns. We budget for routine veterinarian services. However, this is an unusual case that was not in the budget.
